Hey friends! I’m new in town! My name is Baggins and I have feline leukemia. I was abandoned outside the Bay County Humane Society up north. When they found me I had a huge gash in my face, but that is healing up well and doesn’t hurt me as much anymore. I think it’s going to leave a nice scar but that will just show the other cats how tough I am! I’m still really nervous here though. I spent a while at the vet and then I lived with a foster mom who didn’t have any other cats while I healed, so it’s kinda weird having this many new friends! I’m also not real sure about the woman who feeds us. But I dunno, I’m kinda getting used to her. There’s some pretty cool stuff to look at out the windows, and the food lady says that the fence outside is getting redone and in a couple days we will be able to go outside all day! So that will be nice. But anyway, I’ve been here for a few days now and I’m already feeling a bit better so I think this place will work out ok!

Baggins. Sweet Baggins. I think he finally knows he’s home. No hissing, no anger... just food and love and snuggles. It’s so amazing when they finally settle in. ❤️

I used to spend so much money on things for cats. I mean I still do, but I also know the value of a good box! Cardboard is life. 🙌

Yet another FeLV babe diagnosed with FIP. Our sweetest Bilbo Baggins. This is madness and the only thing we can figure out is that maybe one of our more recent FeLV intakes brought a nasty strain of feline coronavirus (which mutates into FIP). FIP itself is not contagious, and mutation is supposed to be random. But..... 😞 Our FeLV intakes are on hold indefinitely until we get this figured out.

Baggins and the other kitties being treated for FIP are all making good progress! They are all eating well, becoming more active, and seem to be feeling much better. HUGE sigh of relief! ❤️❤️

Baggins and Papa are two of our 7 Felvies here. We lost our 2 youngest felvies recently and that sucks, a lot. We miss them both so much still. Sammich passing yesterday has made things even worse. At least everyone who has passed through here has gotten so much love, safety, and security, that’s why we do this. These precious souls make this all worth it. ❤️ ❤️
