Meet Benji

Benji, a sweet and spirited Guinea Hog, found his forever home at Ahimsa Safe Haven after narrowly escaping a tragic fate. He was rescued from an auction where he was being sold for slaughter. Thanks to the compassion and quick action of Ahimsa’s team, Benji’s life took a turn toward safety, love, and care.

Benji’s journey to recovery began with proper nutrition and plenty of affection. Previously fed only corn, he now enjoys a diverse diet filled with tomatoes, carrots, watermelon, and other healthy treats that have transformed his health and happiness.

Benji spends his days exploring his spacious pasture, rooting in the soil, and basking in the sunshine. He’s also a big fan of belly rubs, often seeking out the loving hands of Ahimsa’s team and visitors. His playful and gentle nature has made him a beloved sanctuary member, capturing the hearts of everyone he meets.
