MEET DAFFODIL
MEET DAFFODIL
Cari’s phone has been broken for a bit and we apologize for our disappearance! But we are BACK with soooo much to update everyone on!
Perhaps the most exciting thing you missed was the welcoming of four new and adorable faces. We ventured into the potbelly world and ooohhh myyy gaawwwddd. These 4 were living together in a difficult and neglectful situation. Thankfully, working with multiple organizations, we were able to step up and offer them a forever home all together. We will introduce them individually, and tell their stories, but all that matters right now is that they are here and safe. We WILL need help covering fencing costs for them, as we rushed to put everything together to prepare for their arrival. But we have no doubt you’ll be as head-over-heels as we are and see why we pushed to make this happen!
Please welcome Zinnia, Daffodil, Poppy and Rosie!
“Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii”
- Daffodil
The pigs are all enjoying this above-freezing day and laying around outside! Daffodil requested special treats to celebrate. We shall see. 😘
When Daffodil and her friend Rosie first came here over the summer, they were so scared of humans that we couldn’t get within 20 feet of them. They had been neglected. Humans had generally not been kind to them. Treats would bring them closer but pets were out of the question.
But pigs are wonderful, miraculous, highly intelligent people and slowly, they learned that they were safe and not all humans were out to hurt them. Daffodil here now loves her chin and face scratched. She will gently sniff my face, and check my pockets for treats. Rosie is still a work in progress but we can touch her, give her nose the softest boops. I’m so proud of these girls and the difficulties they’ve overcome. And I’m so glad they’re here. And safe. 💕🐽
