Meet Papa

Papa is our resident FeLVie who knows exactly what he wants and isn't afraid to demand it. Initially shy upon arrival, this confident kitty has truly come into his own during his time with us. Papa was living outside with a feral colony but was much too friendly for that life. Some kind people brought him inside, but upon discovering he had feline leukemia, they were heartbroken as they couldn't keep him with their other cats. Thankfully, the wonderful staff at the humane society contacted us, and today, this cutie is a cherished member of our crew.

Papa has faced health challenges, including a battle with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). The treatments were tough, but Papa's resilience shone through. He has become more confident over time, and his journey is a testament to his strength and the love he receives here.

Now, Papa spends his days lounging in his favorite spots, enjoying the company of his fellow FeLV-positive cats, and reminding us all who's boss. His journey from a shy newcomer to the confident cat he is today embodies the mission of Ahimsa Safe Haven: to provide a nurturing environment where every animal can thrive.
