MEET ROSIE
MEET ROSIE
Cari’s phone has been broken for a bit and we apologize for our disappearance! But we are BACK with soooo much to update everyone on!
Perhaps the most exciting thing you missed was the welcoming of four new and adorable faces. We ventured into the potbelly world and ooohhh myyy gaawwwddd. These 4 were living together in a difficult and neglectful situation. Thankfully, working with multiple organizations, we were able to step up and offer them a forever home all together. We will introduce them individually, and tell their stories, but all that matters right now is that they are here and safe. We WILL need help covering fencing costs for them, as we rushed to put everything together to prepare for their arrival. But we have no doubt you’ll be as head-over-heels as we are and see why we pushed to make this happen!
Please welcome Zinnia, Daffodil, Poppy and Rosie!
This lovely lady is one of four potbellies who now reside here. They’ve been here for about a month already, and they were “in the works” long before that. It took several organizations working together to get them here, and we are eternally grateful to Anna and Bloom, @chubbygoatacres, and @pigsburghsquealers for saving them.
Rosie and the ladies were living in a severely neglectful situation. Living in filth, overcrowded and breeding. Rosie and Daffodil are the two oldest of the bunch, and while they are both still young, they have experienced enough to be terrified of humans. They are making so much progress though. They never have to like us, but we would love for them to be comfortable in our presence. When they first arrived, they would take off running any time we came near. But Rosie is a pretty big fan of food, and it didn’t take much to bribe her closer. Now Rosie will sniff all over us, checking our pockets to see if we are hiding any treats. She lets us touch her cute little nose and just under her chin for a moment. She is a true boss babe, taking charge of the other girls and keeping everyone in their place. She loves carrots, Cheerios, and mini pig treats, but despises mushrooms. She has no idea that her life is just getting started. Rosie, Daffodil, Poppy and Zinnia - you are safe and loved. Stay tuned to meet the rest of the Flower Power pigs. ❤️🐷
Rosie and everyone here wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!
